The Doors - Light My Fire

Light My Fire is one of the most famous rock songs of all-time. This video is from their first and only appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. Sullivan asked the band to change the lyrics from "girl, we couldn't get much higher" to "girl, we couldn't get much better", but Morrison claimed he forgot to change the lyrics because he was nervous. In reality, Ray Manzarek wrote years later that the band had no intention of changing the lyrics. Sullivan told the band they'd never play on his show again, and Morrison gave one of his trademark responses, "Hey, man, so what, we just did the Sullivan show!" Enjoy!
